Women’s Ministry
At Durham Memorial Baptist Church, our Women’s Ministry is an active, vibrant community with a heart for missions, service, and spiritual growth.
We meet every Monday evening from 5:30pm to 8:00pm in the Family Life Center (the gym) for a time of devotion, prayer, fellowship, and hands-on projects — and sometimes even a delicious meal! No matter where you are on your faith journey, we invite you to join us as we share God's message and His love with others.

Our Mission
Our Women's Ministry is passionate about putting faith into action, both within our church family and in the wider community. Here are some of the meaningful ways we serve:
Handmade Gifts: We create lap quilts for those in need, sew dresses and shorts for orphanages overseas, and hats for military personnel stationed abroad.
Community Support: We help serve meals to families at Families Moving Forward, supporting those experiencing homelessness.
Outreach and Fundraising: Our Annual Craft & Bake Sale is a beloved tradition that brings our church and community together while raising funds for ministry efforts.
School Partnerships: We support Oak Grove Elementary by purchasing and delivering food monthly for the Backpack Buddies program and providing backpacks filled with school supplies at the start of each school year.
Care Ministries: We minister to our homebound members through cards, visits, and small gifts, making sure they feel remembered and cherished.
Biblical Herb Garden: We maintain a biblical herb garden on the church grounds, available for all in our church family to enjoy.
Global Impact: Every year, we participate in Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse, sending shoeboxes filled with gifts and the Gospel message to children around the world.
