We're Glad You're Here!
Join us on Sunday at 10:30am or Wednesday at 6:30pm. We are located at 133 Robbins Rd, Durham, NC 27703. There are two entrances to our facility. Expect to be greeted by our hosts at either one, but the south entrance leads you to the main doors.
What to Expect on Sunday
We believe the Bible is for everyone. Therefore, one aspect of our corporate worship is reading scripture out loud together. We read a Psalm at the beginning of our worship time and a benediction at the end. We also recite ancient confessions of the church like the Apostle's Creed as a way to remind one another of the foundational truths that unify us with Christians from all times and all places.
SCRIPTURE & LITURGY
You can expect a mix of ancient and modern songs that magnify Christ. We enjoy songs that are biblically faithful, theologically rich, and spiritually edifying.
MUSIC
Our sermon series typically consist of studying books of the Bible. Our pastors preach through successive passages each week, aiming to draw out the biblical author's intended meaning and to apply God's truth practically to our lives. We believe every sermon should exalt Jesus and focus on the redemptive power of the gospel to change lives.
PREACHING
While generous and sacrificial giving is an important part of Christian worship, we do not require or expect visitors to give to the church. We are simply glad to have you join us. If you do choose to give to DMBC, we encourage you to use our online giving platform.
GIVING
We welcome children in our corporate worship, and we appreciate a little noise! For parents who desire childcare, we have trained volunteers who have passed a background check providing care for children ages 0-4.
FAMILY WORSHIP
We have several times of prayer during our worship. We pray for the needs within our church, our community, and our world. We pray for the Holy Spirit's help as we study the scriptures, disciple one another, and make much of Jesus in our relationships within the community.
PRAYER
We observe the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of every month (sometimes more often) to remember and celebrate Christ's atoning death on the cross, his victorious resurrection, and his imminent return. The Lord's Supper expresses our unity as one body in Christ, therefore we invite genuine followers of Jesus to enjoy the Supper with us. For those who are not Christians, please refrain from taking the Lord's Supper, rather, our invitation to you is to take Christ himself!
